The figure confirmed before you pay is the figure charged. Nothing is added afterwards, no fee appears later, and the card details never reach us at all.
Who takes the payment
Checkout runs inside a form served by PayU/Prosus, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor — the highest of the four compliance levels, and the one required of processors handling the largest transaction volumes.
EnLatin never stores, views, or shares a card number. Not in the browser, not on our servers, not in the order record. What comes back to us is whether the payment succeeded and a reference, nothing more. That is not a policy we could reverse quietly — the safety architecture does not give us the data in the first place.
Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. The connection is TLS-encrypted throughout, as the padlock in your browser shows.
When you are charged
- Once, at checkout, for the full amount shown. There is no deposit, no balance on delivery, and no recurring charge — nothing is stored that could produce one.
- An order left unpaid expires after two hours and is canceled automatically. You are told by email. Nothing was charged, so there is nothing to refund, and you are free to order again.
- If a payment is declined, no order is created and no charge is made. Some banks briefly show a pending authorisation that clears by itself — if it persists beyond a few days, tell us and we will send whatever your bank needs.
What the price includes
- The per-page rate for your document type, the certification, the stamp, the verifiable order code, and any volume discount — applied automatically rather than on request. Turnaround is priced at checkout where you select it.
- Nothing is charged for pages that need no translation. An annex in English or any other desired target language attached to a Latin diploma, or a page already in the target language, is not counted. Where the count turns out lower than charged, the difference is refunded without being asked for.
- Prices are quoted in euros. If you need particular tax documentation for your own jurisdiction, write to us and we will see what we can do.
Currency
Everyone is charged in euros.
Your bank may apply its own conversion or a foreign-transaction fee if your card is denominated in another currency. That conversion is set by your issuer and never reaches us — it is not part of our price.
On your statement
The charge appears under EnLatin or under the processor’s descriptor, depending on your bank. If you see a line you do not recognize, send us the date and amount before disputing it — we will identify it within the hour and, if it is ours and should not be, refund it immediately.
Canceling, refunds, and receipts
Fifteen minutes from payment to cancel for a full refund, from your order portal. Refunds return to the card you paid with, in the currency charged; depending on your bank, it usually takes five to ten business days — that part is out of our control; it depends on the bank’s processing time. The full refund policy.
A receipt is emailed when payment completes and remains in your order portal. Purchase order references and invoicing arrangements are normal for firms and institutions — tell us what your accounts department needs.
A note on chargebacks
If something is wrong, write to us first. A chargeback takes weeks, freezes the order while it runs, and gives you a worse outcome than the remedy already available: correction at no charge, or a refund, decided in a day. We would rather settle a complaint than contest one.
