Bank Statement Translation Services

A certified bank statement translation renders your financial records exactly — every figure, date, currency and account reference — with a signed statement of accuracy, the EnLatin stamp, and a verifiable order code. It is what visa offices, lenders, and universities ask for when they require proof of funds in English.

When you need bank statement translation

You need certified translation of financial records when a consulate, lender, university, landlord, or government office asks for them in English. Most often: bank statements for a student or visitor visa, proof of funds for an admission or residence application, account confirmations for a mortgage, and financial reference letters for a tenancy or a business registration.

If the receiving party asks for a "certified translation", an "official translation", or a "translation with certificate of accuracy", that is this service. All three name the same deliverable.

What the translation has to get right

Your financial records, and who sees them

A bank statement is the most exposing document most people ever send a stranger. It shows what you earn, what you owe, where you shop, and whom you pay. We treat that as the fact it is.

EnLatin holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security management (TÜV NORD, certificate No. 44121231258) — an audited standard, not a claim. In practice: files travel over encrypted connections and are stored encrypted; access is limited to the specialist and reviser assigned to your order, both under non-disclosure; documents are deleted 45 days after delivery, and earlier at your request. No analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third party is given your file for any purpose.

If you would rather redact a transaction line that is irrelevant to your application before sending, that is entirely your right — tell us, and we will note the redaction in the translation so the receiving officer sees it was made deliberately and not concealed.

What we do not promise

We do not promise loan approval, visa issuance, or that any figure will be judged sufficient. A translation makes your records readable to the office deciding; the decision is theirs, on their own criteria.

We do not adjust balances, dates, or transaction details, and we do not omit lines that look unfavourable. We translate what the statement says. Any discrepancy in the original is a matter for your bank, not for us — and a translation that quietly tidied one would be worthless to you at the counter.

How pricing works

Financial documents are priced per page at the standard certified rate, confirmed at checkout before any charge. Volume discounts apply automatically from three pages onward, which matters here — a six-month statement is rarely one page.

Certification, the stamp, and the verifiable order code are included as standard, never an added charge. Where a destination requires sworn translation or an apostille, we will tell you before you order rather than after.

How to prepare your file

Frequently asked questions

Will a visa office accept your certified bank statement translation?

Yes — a certified translation with a signed statement of accuracy is what consulates and visa offices ask for. Every EnLatin translation carries that statement, the stamp, and an order code the office can verify with us directly. Some destinations additionally require a sworn translation or an apostille; tell us where it is going and we will say plainly which applies.

Can you translate an online or mobile banking statement?

Yes. The bank’s own downloaded PDF is ideal; clear scans and screenshots are accepted too, provided each page is complete and legible. Send them in order, and tell us if any page is missing so it can be noted rather than silently absent.

Who will see my financial information?

The specialist who translates it and the linguist who checks it — nobody else. Both are bound by non-disclosure. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest under our ISO/IEC 27001 framework, deleted 45 days after delivery, and never shared, sold, or used for any purpose beyond your order.

My statement is six months long. Is every page charged?

Every page that requires translation is counted, and volume discounts apply automatically from three pages onward — rising to 25% at seven or more, which is where most multi-month statements land. If part of your statement is already in English, tell us: we do not charge for pages that need no work.

Can you translate statements from any bank?

Yes, in any of our ten languages. Layouts vary enormously between institutions and countries — some banks print a clean chronological table, others split debits and credits across facing columns with codes explained only in a footer. The structure is read before the figures are rendered, so the translation follows the document rather than a template.
