Certified Translation Services

A certified translation is a complete, exact rendering of your document accompanied by a signed statement of accuracy naming the philologist who made it, the EnLatin stamp, and a unique order code the receiving office can verify with us directly. It is what universities, employers, courts, and immigration authorities mean when they ask for an official translation.

When you need certified translation

Certification is required whenever an office must act on a document it cannot read. University admissions and credential evaluation, immigration filings, court submissions, business and property registration, professional licensing, employment verification, and civil registry matters — marriages, births, inheritance — all of them.

If the office asks for a "certified translation", a "translation with certificate of accuracy", or an "official translation", it is asking for this. Three phrasings, one deliverable. If it asks for a sworn translation, that is a different thing and the guide by receiving authority will tell you which yours needs.

What you actually receive

Three things arrive with every certified translation, and the third is the one almost nobody else offers.

How the work is done

What we do not promise

We do not promise universal acceptance, because no translator can. Every institution sets its own rules, and some require a sworn translation, a notarization or an apostille in addition. What we do promise is to tell you which applies before you order — and if a document is refused because of the quality or the certification form of our work, send us the authority’s written reason within thirty days and we will correct it at no charge or refund the order.

We do not use machine translation for certified work, at any stage. Certification means a named human being stands behind the rendering and can be held to it, and that is not a thing a model can do.

How pricing works

Certified translation is priced per page at the rate for that document type, confirmed at checkout before any charge. Certification itself — the statement, the stamp, the verifiable code — is included as standard and never an added charge. Volume discounts apply automatically: 5% from three pages, rising to 25% at seven or more.

Every seventh certified page earns a free page ticket, sent to you by email. The ticket is transferable — it can be used by anyone, including someone who needs a translation and cannot afford one.

Frequently asked questions

What is a certified translation?

A complete and exact translation accompanied by a signed statement attesting to its accuracy and to the translator’s competence. EnLatin adds the stamp and a unique order code, so the receiving office can verify the document independently rather than taking the certification on trust.

Will a certified translation be accepted by USCIS, universities, and government offices?

For the great majority, yes — a certified translation is precisely what they specify. USCIS requires it and does not require notarization. Some European authorities require a sworn translation instead, and Hague destinations may require an apostille on the original. The guide by receiving authority sets out which is which.

How does the receiving office verify my translation?

They enter the order code from the document at enlatin.net/en/verify. It confirms the order exists, its language pair, page count, and delivery date. No account, no contact with us, no involvement from you. Every lookup is logged with a timestamp for audit transparency.

How long does a certified translation take?

A single-page document is usually delivered within a few hours, up to just a day. Longer files, and anything handwritten or damaged, are quoted individually. Same-day and 24-hour options are available at checkout where you have a deadline.

Do you translate into languages other than English?

Yes — in any direction between our ten languages: English, German, Greek, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, and Latin. Certification applies in every direction, not only into English.

Ready when your document is.

Not sure whether certification alone is what your office wants? Send us the requirement as they worded it and we will tell you, before you order. salve@enlatin.net
