These terms are meant to be read. Where a clause limits what you can expect from us, it says so plainly rather than at the end of a long sentence, and where the law gives you a right, we state it rather than leaving you to find it.

Who these terms bind
EnLatin L.L.C. — registered in Texas, with offices in Baytown, Voula and Gelibolu — and you, from the moment you place an order. Browsing the site binds you to nothing.
We may revise these terms. Changes apply to orders placed after they are published and never retroactively: the terms that govern your order are the ones in force on the day you paid, and we keep them on record. Material changes are dated at the top of this page.
What we provide
Certified and uncertified translation between English, German, Greek, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Latin, together with transcription of handwritten, abbreviated and inscribed material. Work is performed under ISO 17100:2015 (TÜV SÜD, certificate No. 9931000357) and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (TÜV NORD, certificate No. 44121231258). EnLatin is a corporate member of the American Translators Association, M-185951.
Sworn translation is placed with a translator appointed in the destination jurisdiction. EnLatin holds no court appointment and does not issue apostilles or notarial acts — no translation company can.
Ordering and payment
- The price shown before you pay is the price charged. Nothing is added afterwards, and volume discounts apply automatically from three pages.
- Payment in full precedes work, taken by PayU/Prosus. EnLatin never receives or stores card details.
- Prices are quoted in euros, or in Turkish lira where regulation requires it. If you need particular tax documentation for your own jurisdiction, write to us and we will see what we can do.
- An order left unpaid expires after two hours and is cancelled automatically. You are told by email; nothing was charged, so nothing is refunded, and you are free to order again.
- Free page tickets are redeemed at checkout subject to validation, and return to your balance if the order is refunded.
- Every certified translation carries a verification code in the form
EL-YYMMDD-HHMM-XXXXXXXX, which anyone may check at our verification page without contacting us.
Your right to cancel
As a consumer buying at a distance you have a statutory right of withdrawal under EU law, generally fourteen days. Because translation begins almost immediately, that right ends once the service has been fully performed at your request — which is why we give you a clear window before work starts.
Fifteen minutes from payment, from the order page, for a full refund — every turnaround, same-day included. The window closes when a translator begins work. After that the order runs; what remains open to you is the change request below and the remedies in our refund policy.
Delivery
- Turnaround is counted from confirmed payment and a legible document, and the time you selected is binding on us.
- Options run from standard through to same-day, priced and shown at checkout. Latin diplomas are delivered within a few hours, up to a day, without a surcharge.
- Delivered files remain downloadable from your order portal until day 45, when the source, the translation and every derivative are permanently deleted. The order record and its verification code are retained, so a translation can still be verified afterwards.
If we miss a deadline we accepted, you hear immediately with the cause named, and you choose: a new time we can meet, or a full refund at once with nothing deducted for work done. Full delivery terms.
We are not liable for delay caused by force majeure, by a document supplied illegible or incomplete after we have said so, or by failure of infrastructure outside our control. We are liable for our own delay, and the remedy above is how.
Changes after delivery
Raise anything through your order portal within fourteen days of completion.
- Where the fault is ours — an inaccuracy, an omission, the wrong certification form — correction is free, and stays free until it is right. We do not meter our own mistakes.
- Work beyond the original scope — further documents, a different target language, a rendering you have decided you prefer — is quoted before it is begun, never charged afterwards.
- After three rounds we stop and look at the file properly rather than continue exchanging revisions. A senior philologist reviews what has been asked and what has been delivered, and tells you plainly which of the two is wrong.
Rights in the documents
- Your originals remain yours entirely. We acquire no right in them at any point.
- The completed translation is yours on payment, without restriction, to use, publish, file or amend as you wish.
- We claim no ownership over either, and we do not keep your documents as samples, as reference material, or as training data for any system. Nothing you send is used for anything but your order.
Confidentiality
Documents are seen by the specialist who translates, the reviser who checks, and the philologist who certifies — all under non-disclosure, nothing subcontracted to an unknown hand. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest and deleted at day 45, or earlier on request. Send your own NDA or data processing agreement and we will sign it before any file is transferred. What we hold and for how long.
Limits of our liability
- Our liability for an order is limited to what you paid for it. We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded — and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything on this page.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss: a missed filing date, a lost opportunity, a contract that fell through.
- We cannot guarantee that any institution will accept any document. Acceptance is theirs to decide and their requirements change. What we undertake is that the translation will not be the cause of a refusal — and where it is, we correct it or refund you.
- Choosing the certification level is a shared responsibility, not yours alone. Tell us the destination and we will tell you what it requires before you order; if you order against our advice, we note it and the work stands as instructed.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Greek law, and the courts of Athens have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of your own country’s mandatory consumer law, nor of the right to bring proceedings where you live.
Write to us first. Most complaints are settled the same week, and we would rather resolve one than win it. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
