EnLatin was founded on a simple conviction: an official document deserves the same precision, confidentiality, and care in translation as it received in the writing. For twelve years we have served law firms, government offices, universities, and individuals who cannot afford to get it wrong.
What began as one philologist’s practice has grown into a platform working across ten languages, with credentialed specialists for each language and field. The founding principle is unchanged: every word matters, every deadline is binding, and every client is told plainly what their document needs.
The desk behind the work
EnLatin’s Latin and Ancient Greek commissions are handled by its founder, Konstantin Er — PhD in philology, Verona; MA in classical philology, Yale — with twenty-two years across institutional, ecclesiastical, notarial, and manuscript material. Every other language has its own credentialed specialists. None of it is subcontracted or outsourced.
Quality Standards
EnLatin is certified to ISO 17100:2015 for translation services (TÜV SÜD, certification pending) and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for information security management (TÜV NORD, certification pending). EnLatin is a corporate member of recognized professional bodies including:

How EnLatin Serves
Every order follows a rigorous three-phase process:
- A qualified translator with proven expertise in your document type and language pair completes the translation.
- A second linguist reviews the work for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with certification requirements.
- A finalizing senior reviewer ensures every certification requirement is met and affixes the seal that makes the translation unique to EnLatin and valid for submission.
Every certified translation is read by three sets of eyes, in sequence, before it leaves us — the specialist who translates, then the reviser who checks it, and finally a senior philologist checking accuracy and consistency, affixing the stamp, and ensuring the certification requirements of the receiving authority are met. ISO 17100 requires the second reader. The third is ours.
